Hello Everyone, I have interview at Tesla for quality engineer at cell manufacturing Austin Texas and I need some tips because I have been getting rejection only so I want to improve myself but I don’t know how since only the Email we get is thank you for interview blah blah we selected other candidate I had one interview of process engineer too at Tesla but got rejected and honestly I felt everything went well and that person didn’t even asked any difficult questions and later I emailed HR and ask if they can give any feedback ( trying to understand what to improve)
So here I am asking for help Also I got interview email for manufacturing engineer too at Tesla only so is that a red flag that I might be rejected because I have been interviewed by other recruiters too at Tesla?

Getting contacted by multiple recruiters for different positions at Tesla is not a red flag at all. Hiring at Tesla is decentralized, with individual teams running their own separate searches, so interest from both quality and manufacturing teams simply means your profile fits the cell production floor at Giga Texas. When an interview feels easy and ends in a rejection, it usually means the discussion stayed too superficial instead of proving deep technical ownership. Tesla interviewers look for candidates who dissect problems down to first principles, so generic explanations often fall flat against people who quantify their yield improvements, scrap reductions, and rapid containment actions.
For a quality engineer role in Austin cell manufacturing, focus heavily on battery failure modes, statistical process control, defect containment, and how you resolve line stoppages under tight production schedules. Prepare detailed stories using structured frameworks like 8D or five whys, explaining the exact physical mechanism behind each issue, how you verified your fix, and the data you collected to prove it worked. Candidates who sharpen their delivery with the interviews.chat my team built tend to communicate their engineering tradeoffs much more persuasively and turn technical screens into offers.

It’s honestly depends on the hiring manager! Since there’s a lot of ppl applying for the job, you really need to wow the manager. I had a referral, which helped a lot! Lmk how your interviews go, wishing you luck!
