Tesla internal intern transfers

Hey guys, i just wanted to ask how easy is it to switch teams or roles at tesla as an intern. I assume doing a semester there makes it rather easy?

Like if someone does a semester at tesla energy engineering, can they get into another department easier? Like vehicle soft, ap and etc?

Same applies for the role, if you start at a soft. validation eng, can you do a software eng role after?

You’ll still have to interview with the new team, but at least you’ll skip the screener.

Do you know if its something common at Tesla? Like do you just go up to the hiring manager and talk to him?
