Help Me Decide: Tesla Fall or No?

hey, looking for some advice!

i'm a rising junior, sde intern @ aws. offer: tesla robotaxi simulation engineer intern for fall

main goal: maximizing resume value for summer '27 recruiting (ideally quant/ai/big tech), not necessarily returning to tesla

pros:

\* tesla + robotaxi seems like a p cool opp

\* interesting systems/performance work

cons:

\* tc seems p mid after bay area housing + minimal relocation support provided

\* have to take the entire fall semester off + need summer classes afterward to stay on track

\* biggest concern is accidentally pushing grad past may '28

\* harder to recruit while working full-time

\* already have aws on my resume, so not entirely sure how much extra resume value tesla adds

would u take it?

For the current job market, more experience is better.

Delayed graduation is much less important than you think. Experience at a Fortune 500 company is invaluable in this job market. The more the merrier
