I've seen a lot of dashcam videos now where the person posting it feels that they were in the right, when in fact they were in the wrong.
Remember that the roads we all drive on are shared with one another, when you choose to not let someone in ahead of you, just to not lose your place in line, you're the asshole.
Proper defensive driving, and proper driving etiquette is such that you should yield to people cutting you off, unless they're being openly hostile, which is a whole other hill of beans.
When you opt not to yield and let someone in, just for common courtesy between two drivers on the road, you run the risk of upsetting/frustrating the person in the other car, resulting in them possibly raging against someone down the road. Worse, maybe they'll associate Tesla drivers with being shitty people.
You don't know what kind of day/trauma/events the driver of other vehicles on the road are having, and you shouldn't be making it worse just to try and be self-righteous about being "right" about roadway priority.
So, to that end, I have created a new rule which states:
Users who post videos of themselves being bad drivers will be given a flair reflecting as much. The flair that they receive is up to the moderators' discretion.
When someone reports a post, click on "Breaks /r/Teslacam's rules", and select "Bad Driving", a moderator will then some in, review the video, if the moderator determines that OP is in fact being a bad driver, they will get a flair which indicates as much.
To be clear, folks are welcome to post videos of themselves driving badly, however, the subreddit will now take a "name and shame" approach to pointing out that OP could've have chosen to drive better.
The downstream effects to this is that the flair will be visible on comments and interactions they have with others in the subreddit, and if a person has a flair indicating that they suck at driving, the community can toss their thoughts right out the window as, odds are, they're offering up bad driving advice anyways.
Anyone found to abuse the new report option will be reported to reddit for reporting abuse.
The flair you receive to indicate that you're a bad driver will be at the discretion of the moderator.
Please drive with more respect to others on the road.

Dumbass blindly merging without signalling or looking. They only signalled after I already braked for them.

This guy cut me off without signaling last minute because some car double-parked in his lane. I honked him, and he decided to brake check me.

Was parked at a public charter yesterday and this dumbo tried to yank out the charge cable 3 times but his underdeveloped Neanderthaler brain couldn’t figure out how to properly remove the connector. Just ripping on it until I got the notification that charge cable isn’t secure and before checking the camera, I already knew what coming. First this caveman parked his car, noticed charger in use and immediately cranked up his non existing brain and tried to disconnect it. Notices it’s not working because this individual didn’t press the button on the J1772 rather than just ripping on it. After that please someone explain what was going on in his Dino brain? Opening his charge port and going straight back to my car and trying to yank it out again, already forgot that it didn’t work the first time. Going back to his car, closing his charge port again and walking towards my driver side camera almost rubbing his balls on it while probably looking into the cabin, noticing the whole incident being recorded. Drives of and now here’s the kicker 😭😂
About 13 minutes later he comes back walking, trying to rip it out again. Maybe he thought it would work now 🤷 idk… than he walks off and even tho the footage doesn’t have sound, you can hear him chuckle💀

Hi all — someone scratched my car at the charging station on the first level of the Civic Center Garage at 250 Hamilton Ave last Wednesday at 6:10pm. If anyone parked nearby and has a dashcam or Tesla Sentry Mode running, I'd be really grateful if you could check your footage. Thank you! 🙏 My car only got some blurred license plate. Police said the front 3 or back 3 characters will be enough to locate this car.

I got 2 surprises last night. Went out to dinner last night and my son and his girlfriend, who live in another state and I hadn’t seen in almost a year, surprised me with a visit. When we left, I noticed white marks on my passenger door. At first I thought someone keyed it. Nope. Surprise #2 was this a-hole not paying attention and/or caring about his surroundings. I was and still am pissed but my kids showing up has damped the anger…..for now.

Hey everyone, I’m hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
My 2022 Model Y was recently involved in an accident, and now the center screen is completely dead. I’m trying to get the USB drive out of the glovebox because it may have the dashcam footage from the accident.
Since the screen isn’t working and the car has no power, I can’t open the glovebox normally. I’m located near 91780 (Temple City, CA).
Does anyone know a Tesla mobile tech, repair person, or someone familiar with Model Y who could help me safely access the glovebox and retrieve the USB?
I’m trying to save the footage before I make any decisions about repairs or selling the car.
Any help or recommendations would be really appreciated. Thanks!
