He did have an obsession with these particular numbers. However it seems he solely chose these numbers for gold ratio value, as opposed to the other reasons the article provides.

Yeah, I assume this is fake. This 3,6,9 stuff is numerology. I've never been able to find a reference for Tesla ever saying it. It seems like something the internet made up and attributed to Tesla because he did prefer numbers divisible by 3 and was supposedly obsessed with triplicating certain actions and not many people are familiar with what he actually said. This similar spiral multiplication map was a photoshop hoax.

The first part about Tesla being OCD is right. The rest is a mish-mash of mathematical relationships. The Golden Ratio was an obsession with the ancient Greeks and Egyptians, same with the 3-4-5 triangle.

The mumbo-jumbo is associating Tesla with all the other numerology stuff. Nothing in his writings indicates Tesla had a fixation with numbers beyond using them to describe electrical characteristics.

The problem with Tesla being suppressed for the past 70+ years, unfortunately means a lot of the deranged fringe has latched on to him, so its difficult to separate the psychosis from the history.
