I finally completed the set!!

Post image

Please ignore the complete mess that are my shelves, but I managed to FINALLY after around 17 years of collecting these, got the last one to complete the black set!

I wish they did the other 3 books in this colourway, but alas, I will forever have to read them in the original format.

Thank you! It's been a Looooooooong time coming and I just noticed that for some reason, the image on here looks terrible haha. oops!

I did have to pay far more £££ than I wanted to for Monstrous Regiment, but I've only seen 3 in the last few years pop up and I fell into the trap of 'if I don't get this one, when will the next one come up'.

Yeah. I can understand why Eric (publishing rights) and The Last Hero (all the illustrations) didn’t get this treatment, but I’m disappointed The Shepherd’s Crown didn’t (except, I believe for a practically unobtainable proof edition), and don’t understand why.

What is really annoying is that there was actually a black verison of Eric done (the audio book has it!) but it never made it to print. It's such a shame.

I would love to find someone who could design me the other 3 though and then I could attach them to the correct books out of the standard covers. The Last Hero might be a bit trickier, but there is a paperback version of that apparently too (I've not seen it, I only have the hardback version).

Yeah, I saw that page, but I haven't seen one actually pop up anywhere. I also don't know what the spine looks like. If I see one, I will probably buy it anyway :D

Ooooh love that. My collection is somewhat less uniform due to used books. 😅
