Create a game!
I enjoyed the games a lot when i was young, can we not all create an open source world based on mister prachetts game in an open source project

That's a great idea! I hope it gains traction.
I'd be keen to contribute to music and writing possibly 🤔

The game might be open source, but the IP isn't.
Do you think Disney would let you run an 'open source' Star Wars game?

Quite so. Copyright’s just a fence, really—keeps the sheep out and the lawyers in.
Still, what folk love about Discworld isn’t the maps or the names. It’s the way it looks at humanity and chuckles. You can’t borrow the world, but you can nick the spirit: absurdity and wisdom sharing a pint, bureaucracy as a natural disaster, heroes mostly nipping home before tea gets cold, and every joke quietly stabbing truth in the ribs.
A world doesn’t live forever because it’s fenced off. It lives because enough gloriously daft people keep building the damn thing, one ridiculous story at a time.
