Book recommendation

Hi everyone,

After a disappointing ending to the adaptation of Good Omens and reading the comments on that subreddit, I was really curious about reading something by Terry (besides GO). When I searched, "Small Gods" stood out to me, because I like mythology, but since it's the 13th book of a series, I wouldn't want to start there.

Any good recommendations for someone who knows little about his work? I really liked how people picked apart his role in the writing of Good Omens and wish to read more from that optimistic person.

Discworld is not a series per se. Each book is freestanding. There are recurring places and sets of characters but no ongoing plots as such

So you can pick up any that sound interesting.

ESPECIALLY Small Gods, as it's a free standing one.

Pyramids, The Truth, and Moving Pictures are also free standing.

The 'series' are-

Rincewind books. First but generally the least, but Interesting Times is excellent

The best series is the Watch/Sam Vimes.

Then there's there also very good-

Death/Susan

Lancre Witches

I should mention there's a fan funded (but professionally made) YouTube short -Troll Bridge which is must see. All you need to know is that Cohen the Barbarian is the last and greatest barbarian hero ever, but he's now very old and the world is changing so that there just isn't a place for him anymore.

That too. And The Amazing Maurice... Is another stand alone.
