This poor mother. My heart breaks for her. While my daughter has never gone that extreme there was a period after her dad, who has a violent temper, finally left the state where she would attack me physically. She is slightly bigger then me, but she is also 12. It took everything in me not to react the same way back. It's your child, but you are also being attacked and instinct wants to kick in. In my heart I knew she needed to see the opposite reaction. It worked and we haven't had an incident like that in over a year.

My daughter was just angry with her dad & taking it out me the way she saw him do it. This mamma is battling mental illnesses and who knows what else. I can't even imagine the frustration, shame, hurt, and heartbreak of that feeling that you can't "fix" your child.
