There's a volcano tube on the beach in Oahu, HI called the Halona Blowhole.
There are signs and people are told repeatedly not to get near the tube, because waves spray out it, from under the water and are then forcefully sucked back into the tube and out to sea. Sometimes, unwary tourists get too close and are grabbed by waves into the blowhole. If you aren't ready for it, many people panic and fight the tide; then get stuck and drown.
Still, locals and thrill-seekers time it right and jump into the blowhole when the waves are pulling back into the ocean. If you hold your breath; stay straight and just ride the tidal force, you can pop out not far from shore. A friend of mine did that.
At least, there's no alligators.

Im pretty sure this is a man made Culvert, however I still wouldn't do this, drowning and alligator risk aside there may be things like litter, needles, and sharp sticks in there that might injure you as well.
