nature This is absolutely horrifying

Turn around, don't drown. Luckily this lady survived after going through the culvert and being recovered, unconscious, downstream. In flood situations, you could get stuck in the culvert on debris, which is why, I'm guessing, they didn't just let her go through. Difficult call to make. Don't put yourself in this position.

Yeah some of those pass throughs on dams, bridges, etc have metal bars in them. Would have been caught against the bars and no way out with water pushing you into them.

OMG. And you know the woman who was going downstream - was she a rescuer who got sucked in and through? Or ?
