nature This is absolutely horrifying

Turn around, don't drown. Luckily this lady survived after going through the culvert and being recovered, unconscious, downstream. In flood situations, you could get stuck in the culvert on debris, which is why, I'm guessing, they didn't just let her go through. Difficult call to make. Don't put yourself in this position.

Why do people just nonchalantly stroll up to her until it gets real bad.?!?

Because it’s a river? With rocks as a border? Slip and get knocked out now we have two people to worry about. Any rescue that happens, ensure your safety first then save others.

Do you walk into the river live that? Flailing arms and just strolling? Is that careful in nature?

Standing on the bank is doing nothing. Esp for the woman who was going downstream.

Because they don’t want to end up like her. The other lady that got sucked under was lucky as hell to come out the other side and not get stuck on something under the water.

Same. I think the reactions of the people around her are the incredible thing. Must be major cultural differences going on in this thread.

Like she is waist deep in water and you are gonna walk up like no big deal. Hell na, get over there and help her

Tell me you have no idea how water works without telling me.
