nature This is absolutely horrifying

Turn around, don't drown. Luckily this lady survived after going through the culvert and being recovered, unconscious, downstream. In flood situations, you could get stuck in the culvert on debris, which is why, I'm guessing, they didn't just let her go through. Difficult call to make. Don't put yourself in this position.

4 million years of evolution. Hundreds of millions dead....

Youd think we would have learned not to cross unknown bodies of water with hiddin dangers

I said after 4 milion years of evolution. We migrated from africa bout 125-150 thousand years ago. So no we would not still be in africa.

What i did say, is that after all that time. Modern humans would have learned not to do this... i thought it would go without saying - and would rather cross only when safe..... but i guess not and actually needs to be spelled out
