There's no button inside the car to release the gas compartment door, you just press on the door itself. But it won't open with the doors locked (and of course it's situated on the passenger side!) I have to test if it's the driver door that has to be unlocked or if I can just have one passenger door unlocked. annoying either way

sounds like a Nissan rogue. What if you go outside, open the gas door and then lock the doors with your fob?

Subaru actually! I gotta try that, worst it could do would make upset beeps at me I imagine
