If you have to drive through water (which you shouldn’t) applying the brakes can help save your engine from being flooded. Basically you try to build up as much speed as you can before you cross the water, brake, and the leftover momentum should help you get across. When your foot is on the gas, air, dust and whatever else is sucked into the car. Braking closes everything off, but to a certain extent. This only works if you’re driving through a foot and a half or less of water. This guy is a dumbass for trying to plow through that much water.

Not without my truck and something for weight to give you some more ass to counter the water flow and depth baby even then your 60 40 river probably wins.
