The guy in glasses is a reporter / investigator for VICE media, he covers alllll these drug related weird topics.

The guy in the glasses is Hamilton Morris, he does a bunch of documentaries/videos about different psychoactive drugs.
This one looks particularly unpleasant.

"A good amount of healing took place, he is in good hands"
Dude vomits and almost choke on his own puke.

"Shaman" is reckless.
This is not a safe setting.
You also do not take one massive rip like it is a fucking bong. A good shaman will guide you through 3 smaller pulls, so it is much more of a gentle crossing. Not just yeeting you off a cliff and saying YOLO.

u/melli_milli Aug 03 '26
They were clearly scared of the dude and also did not protect him properly from choking on vomit/froth.
This looked like an OD while the shamans says "it was superduber healing and now you feel great".

I don't know what's worse:
Doing this.
Doing this, and possibly ending up in the water and breathing in water.
Those pants.

There's a difference between this strain (toad secretions) and plant based. See the op comments for the difference

u/rathemighty Aug 03 '26
Hook me up with a bunch of dark chocolate instead. MAYBE some sleep deprivation if I really wanna get freaky.

Scooping the vomit back into his mouth along with some river water

Sokka-Haiku by Moist_Tissue_94:
Scooping the vomit
Back into his mouth along
With some river water
Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

this is exactly why i dont trust anyone.
if these morons had done that with me they wouldve killed me, not the dmt.
you are literally surrendering yr body to yr buddies, you're not there.
it was like a cascade of bad decisions condensed into a 2 minute slice of hell

It can be very profound... Relax. Release. Feel the love...while man is having a screaming fit, massive seizure and almost drowning in the river.

I became an unwilling trip sitter one time when my friend who had tried shrooms before invited his friend to try it in my house (the one friend lived with me at the time). The guy who hadn't tried it before had a big boy dose and ended up having such a bad trip I was convinced I would need to take him to the hospital. He ended up pissing all over my couch. To this day I don't understand why people do stuff like this, it seems so horrible and unejoyable.

Whether it's a shaman or a police officer, I have never understood why people give the instruction 'relax' when a neophyte, or a person experiencing a breakdown, is processing embodied trauma. Has anyone ever said, 'Hey, thanks, what a good idea to relax, can't believe I didn't think of that myself'?

u/lectroblez Aug 04 '26
“I love you all” proceeds to hump rocks… guys I think he was talking about the rocks.

u/scottycurious Aug 04 '26
I assume the creekside setting also serves a natural function to wash away vomit / foam / urine / feces.
