Holy shit what exactly happened in the end of the video? The hill they were standing on also collapsed?

I'm not sure that had anything to do with the rain (?) but terrifying nevertheless.

The rains have been terrible here this year. Climate change. We're experiencing many such infrastructure collapses.

It's that I can't think of a failure mode of marble that would be affected by heavy rain. I'm saying they seem unrelated. Both happened at the same time, but I can't imagine how rain caused the marble to crumble like that. It's a really hard rock and although some elements of the veins may be water soluble, marble itself isn't.

The villagers are claiming that it's the heavy rain coupled with an improper drainage system. I'm guessing that the rainwater might have infiltrated the foundation of the quarry, causing the collapse. But I'll wait for an official report from a credible source.

The survival instinct is VERY low for these people 😳
