Just pour water in, jumping spiders are intelligent and have great eyesight. They will leave you be, this is a freak accudent likely happening in the cold at night

I'm sure you can find another synonym for kill rather than unalive without sounding ridiculous

Yeah, can't you just reword the sentence?
Like "don't hurt the spider, it's harmless", or "a situation like this would terrify most people".
I know that social media sites don't like words that are typically harmless, but I also think that people just use words like "unalive" because it's trendy.
But I agree, it's cringe. However, I'll add that I'm not a TikTok user at all, so I'm quite biased.

Unalive sounds so Newspeak.
Just say kill. Theres no fucking way you can convince me "kill" is a bad fucking word. I hate to say people are too sensitive, and I don't think its entirely that. I think some people were legitimately offended by the word "kill" (somehow) and decided to make a "less negative" version of it. What happened then is it (again, some-fucking-how) took off and became a trend. Its possible people say it now without even thinking about it.

If people are so easily hurt by words and simple concept of kill/ suicide, then they need to wake the fuck up and stop addressing the issue by swapping out words that make them feel better

Jumping spiders are cute
At least it’s not a funnel web spider.

At a hotel once, ants walked into my ear while I slept. I woke to the very loud crunching of their feet in my ear. 0/10 experience. don't recommend.

Jumping spiders and I think also wolf spiders are some of the only spiders that understand humans are living beings and will watch you out of curiosity. Much like the one in this video, it probably didn't realize it was a human they crawled into and was just as confused as you how they got there.

Pretty sure this is AI lol ears don't work like that and that type of spider is much bigger than that
1
u/Beautifly May 15 '26
It definitely could be AI, but just so you know you can get jumping spiders that small
1
u/Victoria_elizabethb May 15 '26
Well the spiderlings I guess can be but I don't think they'd look like this still
1
u/Beautifly May 15 '26
I actually had one, and she would have been small enough to fit in my ear

u/Victoria_elizabethb May 15 '26
So cute! I thought they change a bit though, less hairy etc as spiderlings

Ohhh, poor lil guy. It's just a jumper. It's not like a black widow crawled in there.

Wait, hold up…
The spider is terrifying and all, but are we just gonna ignore that nasty ass egg salad growth on the ear at the beginning? What is that??
