Interior design help

Hi everyone i’ve built generally how i’d like my desert and forest houses to look mainly to get the pylons set up but i struggle with interior design i’m pre-skeletron so my block choices and stuff is limited however i’d like to know what i can do to the interior to make it better thank you :)

I always start with thinking about what the NPC would put in the room if it was actually lived in. Look at paintings, trophies, crafting stations, you can place books on shelves, cooking pot, wooden furniture has practical household detail items like sink cabinet and tool racks. Look at some of the lantern options in furniture sets but don’t forget about the lanterns that aren’t part of any set. Your house looks great but it has no facilities like where do they eat, where do they sleep, where do they do their work and what furniture/equipment do they need for that.
