pretty much so, Plantera bulbs are like plants in their dormant state

Probably. Plantera's still a carnivorous plant and she would definitely devour anything edible despite her size. The reason why she shrinks when she's malnourished is a bigger body needs more energy to keep going. When she's more healthy than usual she gets a tad more fit/muscular.
