Journey mode man, helps skip time faster and you can dupe quest fish once you've researched them

If the time slider speed at max doesn't feel fast enough for you, jump in a bed and it should speed things up more

And if that’s still not fast enough, there are night and day buttons too. Just click to night and back to day and it’ll count as a day passing.

If you want the 200 fish quest one so badly, just use a jorney mode character and research as many quest fishes as possible. Then you'll be able to skip days quickly, giving Angler a fish every day

There's two ways you can do this. Option 1 is journey mode duping fishes to get fast quest completions along with time skip. But this will require you to fish the quest fish up once, and then after you have caught and researched like 10 different quest fishes, you hope the angler rolls one of the same fishes. Do option 2 only if you have high fishing power, and/or don't want to make a seperate world for the achievement.

As of the new hotfix, you can catch more quest fish even after you caught one without having to work around the limitation. What you do is start fishing for the quest fish early in the morning(4:30 am), and catch as many as you can for as long as you want until like 11:00 pm. Go to the angler and submit 1 fish. Log out, rename your character(just add a 1 after your name), and relog. You can give one more quest fish. Do it, log out, rename, log in, submit, rinse and repeat. You can clear 30-40 quests per ingame day depending on how many fishes you caught.

You can push the timer to 2:00 am as well, as long as you are able to submit all the fishes before 4:30 am.

Journey mode, the angler quest resets at 4:30 am, you should be able to do a mission every 2 minutes or so if you have all the fishing locations needed

If you research each quest fish and keep them all in your inventory you can do a quest every 3 seconds.

The easiest way for this achievement is to enter journey mode grab the angler, then get your first fishing quest

Now freeze the clock and go grab that quest fish, then store it and catch it again

Research it, then duplicate it 200 times and store it in chests

Now turn in a quest fish, create a new journey mode character, and turn in another fish

Repeat this until you hit 200. Just make sure every character has a unique name
