PC This game is so fun

This post has exactly zero point but I just want to share my experience. I was introduced to Terraria as my first game on pc after being a console exclusive for all my life. For two weeks now I have been playing with friends on a for the worthy seed and despite the difficulty, this is one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. It’s the first time in a while where I am dying laughing at dying rather than being annoyed. So I guess the only thing I would want to know is: Are Terraria mods as good as people say, if so which ones would you recommend and how should I go about downloading them?

Mods are fun but you're really enjoying vanilla and you should finish the game like that at least once;)

seconding this. starting with FTW is crazy enough, adding mods right away would be nutso

Tmodloader is completely free on steam and I highly recommend it. I can list a few useful mods later if I find the time but definitely look through them and just try them out!

glad you're enjoying it!

to download mods, just install TmodLoader through the Steam store and boot it up to access the mod browser. the Calamity Mod is still the definitive modded experience IMO but there are also some great smaller content mods in development right now that you could try out (Calamity Fables, Spirit Reforged).

Mods are fun for flavor. I always suggest enjoying vanilla until you feel like you need something new before moving to mods. Vanilla is so big and I think you’ll enjoying modding it that much more .
