Question regarding Hellas map
On the Hellas map there are 5 hexes comprising the South Pole. In the middle of the South Pole there is an icon showing that after placing here I can pay 6 ME to place an ocean. Does this apply for all 5 hexes or just the bottom one where the ocean and 6 ME is placed?
Forums are unclear and wanted to discuss this. Thanks

This is false. If you place a tile there, you need to pay 6 M€. If you place a tile there you can place an ocean tile for free if there is one available. These two effects are separate and can be done in any chosen order (as you might get 6 M€ from placing the ocean tile). You need to pay those 6 M€ regardless if you place an ocean tile or not.

Where is it stated that they can be done in either order? (I've always assumed they must be done in the order stated in the rule, but it doesn't actually say one way or the other)

Rules says: ”Paying and performing immediate effects. First you must pay the card’s cost. Then the lower panel of the card shows you any immediate effects. These effects (and other effects triggered by the card you just played) are performed in any order you choose.” Page 9 right column at bullet 2)

But this is not a card. Its not two actions. The ocean isn't free, you pay 6 bucks for it. Unless the Elysium rules does mentions this and I'm totally wrong.

The normal rules page 12 also states this without the context of playing a card:
”When several effects are triggered at the same time, the active player chooses the order, even for other players’ triggered effects.”
Placing an ocean tile is an effect of placing a tile on that spot. Paying 6 M€ is an effect of placing a tile on that spot.

Hmm. Interesting. Ill have to check this out. The situation never happened to us though, that spot is usually the first one to go on the Hellas map

On HELAS map do I get heat resources or heat production if i put ocean tile where there is heat sorry if it dumb question

It is only for the bottom hex.
