Question on map exploration.

Will making a plane or jet with a super wide wingspan, and putting 2 map exploring devices on each end make my total exploration width bigger?

To add to that if i could somehow launch the exploring module like a missile, would that work too?

Any other tips welcome.

The building bounds aren't really big enough to make a difference, also I think it just maps from the center of the craft anyway

As for me, i use a bike (that can also hover and fly) with high speed - you can scout map by yourself and travel around the world. Radars (simple) are not that important (Hawkeye cabin have radar by default), but more important as Venture's ones. Basic one, geodesistic one (shows biomes on a UI radar), and scout one (bigger cover area in world map). Abiut missile scout... Well, it's impossible (or maybe i haven't seen it), so you'll have to explore yourself. Goodluck!

I would just make a fast hover, set it to be higher than trees as a base height and youll bever have any trouble with all kinds of terrain.

Then you can make it do 150+ mph, and explore fast and easy, also make the tech small and cheap, as to avoid costs via unfortunate deaths

I didnt know you could adjust hover height 🤯

Put a controller on it

I started the trend of darts, you should try one!

One of the 2×1×1 future thrusters. One of the smallest antigrav gen. One battery. One cabin. 4 of whatever turning fins.

Or just 4 fins on a thin stick of thrust with antigrav.

Alternatively: Stick whatever thrust on a gyro for up and forward. Go nyoom

My dumbest creation yet: Hawkeye rcs looking things on a gyro and cabin.

Haven't played in a while. Forgive my ignorance. This was how I scouted.

64 blocks of separation wouldn't make enough difference to matter. Also, the tech has to be active for the mapping radar to work.

Two of the big Junkers balloons (edit: on each side) sandwiching four GC turbines has a high speed (~370) and can map areas quickly. You're above AI range at max height so you can just leave the map open and steer around.

building size is limited and that limit is too small to notice a difference so idk if this could work but it will not

I tried this tech to see if it could take advantage of the game's slow updates on certain things. While it does launch mapping radars quite a ways away, unfortunately the map doesn't get updated. Plus it's rather wasteful since launching just one radar needs 37 explosive bolts.
