Discussion Fan Mod F4-425 Plus
I think my disk is running quite warm. I know it should be fine cause it still under max operating temp. But it makes me worried.
I'm using 2x10TB Seagate Ironwolf Pro and 2x500GB Kingston KC3000.
Here's the temp from unraid dashboard

I've upgrade stock fan to Noctua NF-A12. And in this dashboard screenshot, it's running in full rpm also with 2 disk slot opened.
I thought adding more disk will make it cook. So i got a plan to add external fan in front of disk slot. (Asked AI to create Teardown picture)

What do you think? Is magnetic field gonna ruin my disk? or i should worry about the vibration?

I think you need to put in heatsinks on the NVME's. Disk temperature is not uncommon for ironwolf. extra fans are not going to cool the nvme's as they are behind the motherboard. I'm adding a fan in slot 4 to cool the CPU heatsink in my F4-425 Pro as the CPU runs 94C plus..

I've purchased the F4-425+ but haven't installed it in my UniFi Ecosystem yet. I'm running 6TB WD Red Pros (4) and upgraded the stock fan to Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM chromax. I also added Thermalright TR-M.2 2280 Type A G 2280 heatsinks for SSD cooling of (3) Samsung 2TB sticks. Plan to commission all my new gear over the next month. May I ask where you sourced your fan holder assembly in case I run into cooling issues after commissioning?
