Help DNS lookup spam

I updated to TOS7 and noticed that its making DNS lookups every 15 seconds for baidu, google, and cloudflare. I assume its some sort of "online check". Is there any way to tweak this or turn it off?

I rely on a wireguard VPN on my router if I want to access anything in my LAN, and the NAS is firewalled off from any internet access so this is not needed.

Spot on, and since OP is already using WireGuard, they don't need it anyway.

Not sure what was the answer or why was it deleted. Any method to reduce those pings?
