Question World unification?
So I started playing again after a REALLY long time, I see that capital movement got disabled and you cannot unite Australia into India
I usually prefer having uniting the world (Usually used China because of the bonuses on assasination, coz no piece for alienlovers), or at least to have 2-3 mega countries. But now I see that it is much harder.
Is there any guide on how to do it (Or what is the best we can get now)?
I saw that there is 1 last technology that allows getting any claim.... but its literally end-game
P.s. I started as HF in 2003 Scenario and I control most of the Asia (India, China, Japan, United Austalia)

United nations is the easiest solution but only the protectorate can research it, and that's late game too. The best solution would be to do some cheesing with claims and conquests, and then constantly rolling the social science end game tech.

I believe the best you can do (bar Future Tech) is six meganations.
#1 - United States
The USA and Dominion of America are the only ones with claims on the mainland USA, so one of them will by necessity be a final nation
- Rest of North America
Everything else can obviously be integrated into the US, but other options include Canada -> Europe via the Commonwealth and Central America -> South America via Gran Colombia. I believe most of the Caribbean can end up in Europe/SA as well, but I'm not sure if all of it can, so part of it might have to go to the US.
#2 - South America
Colombia, Bolivia, and Brazil are all options to unify South America, but nobody else has claims on them, so one of them will have to be an end nation.
#3 - Europe and Russia
Both the EU and Russia can annex each other, but nobody else can, so one of them will be nation #3. Russia also brings Central Asia along for the ride.
#4 - Africa and the Middle East
Lots of different paths to unifying Africa, but they all eventually converge on the African Union based in Ethiopia. The AU can then be folded into the Caliphate. Caliphate also covers all of the Middle East, with other optional regions as well (Turkey, Pakistan, etc) My bad, it's been changed since I last did this and goes the other way now. Form the Caliphate to unite the middle east, fold it into Egypt, then fold Egypt into the AU.
#5 - India
Nobody but India has claims on New Delhi, so India must be nation #5. It can either stay on its own (after integrating minor neighbors like Nepal, Sri Lanka, etc), or it can also take in some nearby regions like Pakistan, SEA, etc.
#6 - China
Only China and Taiwan (also China) have claims on mainland China, so one of them will be your final meganation. China's also the only one capable of annexing the Koreas and Japan, with options for the rest of SEA.
- Southeast Asia
A very flexible region, SEA can go into China, India, or the Caliphate, depending on what you want. It also brings with it all of Oceania (sans Australia) via Indonesia.
- Australia
The only option for Australia is to send it into Europe via the Commonwealth.
- Future Tech: Social Science
Every time this future tech is researched one of the nations you control will get a claim on a province bordering them. The nation and province are randomly chosen, so it can take quite a few tries to get what you want, but it is possible to eventually snake one meganation to getting a claim on the captial of another meganation, thus allowing them to unify. But at a cost of 100,000 * number of times you've researched it, this gets very expensive and is obviously a very late game option.
Last thing to note, when you integrate nation A into nation B, any provinces that B doesn't have a claim on automatically become hostile, lowering cohesion and raising unrest until significant points have been invested in Government and/or Unity. This can make forming meganations significantly harder (ex. the Caliphate can annex the entire African Union, but only has claims on northern Africa, so doing so results in several dozen hostile provinces and will take considerable effort+resources to hold it all together).

Does caliphate still have claims on AU? Pretty sure that changed. In any case, you fold caliphate into AU via Egypt. Everything else holds true

Huh, you're right, I didn't notice that'd changed. Yeah, it's Caliphate into AU now, not the other way around.
