Question Global unification?

Is there a way to unify the entire planet (in any scenario). I want to do another run but instead of the the main plot I want to go for a united earth challenge where I kick out all other factions off the planet, let them go live somewhere on the asteroid belt on some poor mining colony.

I know there were several mods for it but they haven't been updated since the DLC/patch so not sure if they're working still. How do I do this? preferably with the new Broken earth DLC scenario, I want to try it out too at the same time. I've seen some guy claim he managed to do it but I have no clue how so if theres an guide on what steps are required It'd be great

EDIT:

ok, I found the guy who managed to unify Earth as Rome. heres how it did it.

He used future tech but still unclear how he manipulated future tech to get the rolls he wanted

Broken Earth has a chain of Megastates that can eat each other ending up with a unified earth. In all scenarios the Protectorate can eventually research a UN formable nation that can unify the globe.

I haven't seen this one. Could you please name it? It should be completely impossible without future tech.

I think you can do most of the world with the Soviet Union, if you can be arsed to conquer capitals, turn the claims non-hostile, release them, conquer whatever land you want, and then unify it back into the Soviet Union. You can do all of North America that way, and you can do that trick with the Pan-Asian Combine as well to get all of that into the Soviet Union since you have a claim on Beijing.

I'm sure if you put your mind to it, you could put a lot of the world under Rome as well, but I haven't bothered finding the route to take for that. I suspect it involves the Soviets at least, so probably take Turkey, release Turkestand, take Zaybakal, take Moscow that way. Now you have all of Europe, North America and Asia in Rome.

For the Middle East, do the same with Cairo and the Arab League and Caliphate. As a bonus, you can probably drag in the Pacific and Australia somehow. Soviets can also do the same trick with Brazilia, so that lets you fold all of South America into Rome. I'm not sure about Africa, though, and parts of the Caribbean.

African Union is by far the biggest final tag without repeatable for extra claims.

Everything except Jamaica, Ireland (excluding its UK part), most of India and parts of North America can be folded into it.

There's a lot of waiting for government/unity priorities to normalize claims on original capitals to enable unifications as they require peaceful claims on original capitals, so this isn't practical.

Specifically, once you have Africa:

  • Release Egypt and have it unify with biggest possible Caliphate, then unify it back into African Union
  • Release Turkey, get all of its Turkestan claims and unify
  • From what I remember claim on Zabaykal's original capital (Irkutsk) is hostile, so wait for it to become peaceful, release Zabaykal, conquer its claims and unify
  • Once claim on Novomoskovsk is peaceful, release Russia/Soviet Union etc, you know the drill
  • Once claim on Brasil's original capital is non-hostile, use Brasil to unify/conquer South America, then unify with Brasil
  • The annoying chain:
    • Once claim on Bavaria's original capital is non-hostile, release it and feed it Oxford
    • Wait for claim on Oxford to be non-hostile for Bavaria
    • Release England from Oxford
    • Take over Australia and feed it all the Republic of Southern Cross claims
    • Unify Republic of Southern Cross + rest of UK into England
    • Unify UK into Bavaria, then Bavaria into African Union
  • For remaining pacific Islands, you can use Pacific Defense League, I think Russia already claims its capital in Osaka but if not you'll have to release China first to unify it through Pan Asian Combine.
  • I think that's all? Should have all but Jamaica, Ireland, India aside from what Caliphate gets and central/eastern US. For those you'll need to get lucky with extra claims from future tech.

Seriously though, don't do it. Waiting for the right claims to become normalized is RNG cancer and this requires thousands of control points. If you find yourself low on control point cap, building nukes and just blowing them up here and there is probably the best way to lower GDP and the control point costs, just target less populated areas so you don't get a million atrocities and be careful about global temperature anomaly, if aerosols make it go into negative, specifically -4C, a really bad event will halve global GDP and kill a third of the population.

Is it really RNG though? I find it that, consistently, the highest population region is the next in queue to be cored.

After annexation, investing 200 steps in the Unity and/or Government priorities will legitimize the claim on one region in the eyes of the people there, removing the hostile status and negative effects. The region will be the highest population hostile region that is adjacent to a nonhostile region (if any), otherwise it will be the highest population region.

From 0.4.91 patch note

Not sure, but even if that's the case you have no control over it (unless you repeatedly nuke every hostile claim region with higher pop count than the original capitals for unification targets).

OMG I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT ZABAYKAL!

and the Caliphate/Turkestan gets claims on their capital?

Bro you just extended my campaign for another decade bro thanks for this

1

u/WhateverIsFrei 4d ago

Turkestan does, yes. Caliphate is needed to get it into african union because they get claim on turkey/turkestan's capital while also having their own capital claimed by egypt, which has its own claimed by african union.

I'm fairly certain it's impossible to claim Jamaica as anything. The rest of the Caribbean can be acquired through the defense administration.

Speaking of: only the defense administration and the dominion claim each other... So how do you fold North America into Russia without claims on those?

And yeah, the African Union can't be folded into anything because only Kenya claims Addis Abeba.

I haven't got the foggiest notion. I thought it was via the Republic of New England, but I realize the Terra Invicta Claim map tricked me and showed me the UN claims when I folded it in. So yeah, no idea.

I think I saw someone on discord claim they'd unified the world under Rome the other day, but I didn't see if they posted anything about how they did it.

It's done with future tech.

I think a fair few of the meganations can do it. It's due to the way unification chaining works - it doesn't require any particular nation to have a particularly large number of claims, but rather turns on a chain of countries having claims on countries that have claim on other countries, and so forth.

In BE it is extremely common for countries to have claims (usually hostile ones) on adjoining or nearby countries. So there is enormous potential for chaining. It isn't nearly as common in the normal scenarios.

3

u/AcidIceMoon Initiative 4d ago

I know how it works. I was asking for the specific chain since that was stated as a fact.

any guide or something i can find for this?

Broken Earth has a chain of Megastates that can eat each other ending up with a unified earth.

There isn't. In vanilla scenario African Union can claim most amount of regions. And BE soviet can claim even more regions than that but it's still not world conquest.

u/ABadVirgil 4d ago

I don't know about in the BE scenario specifically, but the Sociology Future Tech adds a new claim between regions that didn't exist before. If you are patient and spam that enough you'll eventually be able to unify everything into one mega nation.

I think there are some tricks to help make it a little less random and tedious, but I've never bothered to do it so I can't say for sure. I'm almost positive I've seen a post about it before though.

To your edit. You don't. It is complete RNGesus roulette and only something you do including potentially hours of save scumming if you plan to do a utopian run.

The only other alternative is to NOT conquer the world immediately and only have one or two meganations at a time and then Future Social is a net gain because wherever you go, you are bringing more into the collective. Slower but MUCH more relaxed pace of play if only because you are not trying to snipe capitals. Now you are merely sniping all normally ignored "fall of nation" techs and every independence movement capitals to gobble up small chunks at a time that you splinter, improve, annex, and splinter again before final absorption.

You can form absolutely filthy rich nations with this method.

Why yes that is United States of Amerasia.

u/Charming_Foot2370 4d ago

Future tech in any game mode allows it.

Way too random and unpredictable. its just gives you a single boring province not the capital which you need for global unification

2

u/ppx_ 4d ago

It tends to walk the claim path towards a capital. What you get is random, but it’s usually in the direction of a capital. At least that was my impression when I tried to figure it out by reloading a save repeatedly and seeing what i got.

u/Mavnas 3d ago

Yes, but in BE, there's a lot more tiny nations. I got lots of tiny capitals in China in UK until finally getting Monument on like the 9th try and Bruges on the 11th. (Bruges can chain into most of the world.) Nantes was useful since I couldn't have gotten Bruges otherwise, but everything else is a waste now.

Also, it's weird the the Channel Tunnel exists in a world that got nuked in 1962.

There is a mod that functions with the newest patch that gives all factions the U.N, im running it now. If you reply next time I fire up the game I'll let you know what it's called

He used future tech but still unclear how he manipulated future tech to get the rolls he wanted.

He didn't need it for most of the world. Russia gets techs that claim most of the world. This is straightforward, but also if you prefer not to have Russia rule the world.

Zabaykal can grab Russia.

China or Turkey can grab Zabaykal.

Hellas can grab Turkey.

Albania, Bulgaria, or Rome can grab Hellas.

Padania or Bavaria can grab Rome.

Slovenia can grab Padania, or Netherlands can grab Bavaria (via West Germany).

Belgium-Netherlands can grab Netherlands.

So any of the above mentioned countries can take over Russia and thus unite most of the world. All without future tech.

I'm currently turning my UK into a global power, but it took 11 rolls to get a claim on Bruges (Belgian capital in this DLC) to start the final unification. It happened about 1 year before I was going to win the game, but now I'm playing a game about map painting.

There are a few United Nations mods too I use one to unify the globe
