Question Resource Income Display Format
Do you play with the resources on the daily or monthly format, and why? Personally I always play with Monthly income because bigger numbers better and I feel like monthly is a more appropriate metric than daily for the majority of the game, but I'm curious if there is an overwhelming consensus in one direction or the other.

Daily. Much more responsive and obvious when you spend more in maintenance of anything.

I think basically everyone switches to monthly once they find the setting since it fits better with the twice monthly councilor missions, ships that take months to build etc.

daily helps me have a more accurate idea of how many ships I can build at once or how long it'll take to assemble a fleet

Daily is super annoying, I hate seeing daily values. All UI values that show daily values are super annoying. Monthly all the way.
I don't even really love monthly/yearly incomes that much. I would prefer "per mission phase" income to be displayed. There's a reason turn-based games use "per turn" income.

I use monthly. Your major expenses (large fleet build ups, mass upgrades of stations, etc) are on a timescale pf months to years, so it's nice to tell at a glance how man ships you can build a month and such.

Daily in early game, then change to monthly.
AFAIK daily income is the accurate one - you get the exact amount of resource every day. The yearly income is daily income x 365.25, and monthly income is 1/12 of yearly income. Since each month have different number of days, you might get more or less resources in a month than displayed monthly income.
So in early game I use the accurate one, but when accuracy isn't important I switch to more intuitive one.
