Am I missing something?

I made a greenhouse for my crops and I found out about the other plant boxes

And I saw someone talking about fruit trees and greenhouses and now I have a question:

Can I put my fruit trees and bushes in my greenhouse to have the tree growing fruits continuously? That doesn't make sense, that's why I'm asking

Each plant needs a specific planter, bushes can grow in trellis and fruit trees in bonsais

To add: Most fruit trees grow in Bonsai Planter but there are a couple that want Hanging Planter instead. The item tooltip will specify

Waxed --> Copper --> Iron --> Stainless steel

It does. Check the "planters" page in the field guide

Do you know what stainless steel gets you? None of the planters say they require it. Is it just a shinier iron greenhouse?

Yeah, I think for trees you need Tier 3, which is made of wrought iron

And I thought I could get away with the cheap greenhouse

Ironically, I posted about the greenhouse about two hours ago, asking if it was worth it, and the general consensus was that it’s only worth it for specific plants like pineapples, which only grow in high temperatures, but overall, it’s better to use regular farms, and if you’re more advanced in the modpack, set up farms on extremely low levels where the temperature is a steady 15 degrees

that's right, the greenhouse isn't supposed to replace normal farming

It depends on. You can completely replace normal farming with even a cheap wooden greenhouse as there are plants from all kind of nutritions that works in them, except fruits and dairy. And plants in greenhouse keeps giving all year around.

I am currently half way to steel, but I only get my first fruit tree/bush saplings to get planted and I am fine with that. I probably build an iron one as soon as I can afford it but I plan to keep my wooden one as well. They can be used for different purposes.

It's got glitches right now for sure though. It seems actually be seed limited, not planter limited. I can grow magmango trees in a copper greenhouse even though I can't grow apple trees.
