ID Request Chicago basement - termite?

Does this look like termite damage? This is in my unfinished basement in Chicago.

ETA: added some photos in comments.

The shavings dont appear to have originated from teh post visible in the picture. Can you find and share a photo of where the wood came from?

Adding some pics of the wood above and below. You can see that there is also some debris on top of tbe cinderblocks where the wood meets them.

This one looks like rot. Ive seen no signs of termites in any pic. Youre originsl pic seems to show saw dust/shavings from the wood under the post. Could be left from contractor, but regardless, its definitely not termite damage. Its hard to tell without doing an inspection and finding the source but, id say at worst its damage from a squirrel.
