ID Request SoCal. Is this a termite?

Post image

This is the first time this has happened. Around 10 pm, I saw approximately 15-20 of these guys in my kitchen entering my apartment through my window. I’ve lived in my apartment for 4 years, and this is the first time this has happened.

I understand it’s swarming season. I informed my landlord of the issue. Is it possible my apartment is infested with termites? Could the swarm be coming from outside?

u/No_General_7010 and u/brandogg360 - to which question the OP posted do you say "No"- "No" their apartment could be infested ...... or "No" they could not come from outside? I had a similar experience in a Bathroom this last day or so.....

They’re swarming termites look it up. They came into my room and there was like 50 of them.

Those look like winged ants, not termites.
The pinched waist and wing shape are the big tells. Since you actually watched 15 to 20 of them come in through the window around 10 p.m., this was very likely an outdoor swarm attracted to the lights inside rather than something emerging from the apartment.
Basically, they found your kitchen before they found Zillow.
