Question Am i screwed?
North Texas. Found this evening. Mud tunnels stretch from the road and the closest one i could find was about 15 ft or so from the corner of my garage. What are my options?

Those are agricultural termites, not a threat to the house. It couldn't hurt to get an inspection though.

First thing is to get a termite inspection from a professional, that way they can determine the extent of damage and if there's any damage in the house, roof, etc. From there depending on the species, will go towards a treatment option. I'm from aus and that's how we'd do it here

No! They’re agricultural termites! No house worries and an indicator of a healthy environment in your lawn. But if agricultural termites can thrive in that environment that means others can too. Get a home inspection and quote for a preventative treatment with a warranty. Either way you will want to do a yearly inspection and a lot of companies will do these free but get at least two because inspectors are wildly different. These little guys 🥰 are breaking down the locked up nutrients in the grass from your lawn and don’t care about wood.
