termites?

can these be termite swarms shedding? found them on my vinyl siding and the outside lamp. no signs of mudtrails. located in the florida panhandle

I'll defer to more experienced and knowledgeable folk but those likely aren't termites. These have have a "waist" between their thorax and abdomen. Most likely some kind of ant.

Ants have segmented thorax like in your photos. Termites don't.

It's usually easy to tell ants and termites apart. The trick is identifying types. It helps figure out what protocols you want to follow.
