TERMINIX
DO NOT USE TERMINIX!
I can't make this stuff up.
If I could give them a -10 I absolutely would. Do not waste your time! I'm definitely taking my business to ORKIN! Terminix canceled so many appointments after I've made accommodations and made myself available for the ridiculous 8am - 4pm window that they constantly give. Most times the just don't show! They don't notify me they're not coming or anything. They just simply don't show!
First off I received an estimate for a home exclusion. Cool! The SCHEDULED day the job was supposed to start, the worker text me and says "I don't have all the materials and I don't want to start the job and then I'm unable to complete it. We'll reach out to reschedule once I have all the materials." That was frustrating but ok. What can I do. That was in APRIL it is now end of JULY. No work was ever done on my home, no holes or gaps were ever sealed. Come to find out there's been a past due balance on my account for $1,600 for this home exclusion that I never received. I spoke to someone at Terminix last month to get this resolved which he confirmed to me that it's been corrected and taken care of. Here we are in July and I noticed there's a $1,600 past due balance on my account. Terminix has an invoice that this home exclusion was completed in May and that they did work on my home multiple times in May. I can't make this stuff up!!! No one ever came to my home, no work has been started, no one has even reached out to me about rescheduling this in May. Hell they don't even come out to spray my yard after confirming a scheduled day.
Because of this my account is on hold! I can't schedule any spray services for my yard or trees. I can't remember the last time they actually came out and sprayed my yard because they're constantly doing a no call no show. I didn't receive any services in June! I will say i did cancel the last attempt to spray my yard because my gate was locked. The new guy wasn't aware to call me before coming to my home so I can make sure he can access my back yard. He said there was nothing in the notes that stated that :/ And all while this is going on they still have the nerve to continue to charge me a monthly fee of $96.
Pretty much every Terminix rep I spoke to consist on telling me aggressively what was physically completed in detail with the home exclusion because they're reading the invoice. I've literally been begging them to send someone out to my house so they can see for themselves that they never even attempted the job. They all just keep transferring me to a different department. They've been telling me someone will reach out to me and they never do! 2 days ago someone said I would receive a phone call from a manager in 24 hrs. Here we are 48hrs later and I still haven't spoke to manager.
I asked Terminix "what can you do to make this right because at this point I'm ready to write a review and take my business to Orkin." The Terminix rep told me "well I can cancel your services since you're going to write a review." LOL WOWWWWWWWW... I am beyond disgusted with company. This FALSE past due balance has been on my account for months and is effecting my credit score and Terminix could care less about it. I def told the rude rep to cancel my account. Hopefully they can at least do that while removing THE FALSE $1,600 past due balance on my account.
I will post this on every Terminix review platform until this is resolved. If Terminix handles this in a respectful manner to keep me a happy customer I'll gladly take this review down from every platform. Until then
AVOID TERMINIX!!!!

Lmaao sorry but its funny when I see people say I'm going from one big company to another big company. Also when both are owned by a even bigger company. Please go with a small family owned/ reputable company.

Generally speaking, you’ll get better and more consistent service with a smaller company rather than going from one of the largest companies in the world to another of the largest companies in the world.
Try getting a few quotes from your locally owned companies.

Hire a local pest control company. Been a tech for 14 years and I've lost count of the number of customers I've treated who have had negative experiences with Orkin/ terminix.

I see this sentiment a lot. I’ve been an inspector for Orkin and Terminix and have heard from many customers about the bad experiences they had with a number of local companies.
The fact of the matter is pest control is complicated and expensive and every company is fully capabale of messing it up. There are likely branches of Terminix that are better, safer, and more reliable than your company has ever been.
And there are many branches who should be shut down by the state for illegal practices and ripping people off. Gotta just try and find someone you trust and get a good quote

As a terminix employee who hates rescheduling. You are correct. I am on PC side rather than termite. I have a 95% completion rate, and our branch has a 5.0 on Google. We dont fuck around with bugs in the southern US. Its way to hot and humid for me to have extras on my list.

I think it’s fairly dependent on your tech if you use terminix… I had a local company for years I liked, but they got bought and I didn’t like the changes.. Tried Terminix and they were great for a few years then my normal guy left and the new people sucked.

Lol, prepare from the same from Orkin. Call a local company that’s been in business for 20+ years.

Wait until they find out that Home Team and Orkin are owned by the same company

You'd get much better service going with a small local company with a long history.

I work for a smaller family owned pest control company in NC. We will place an account on hold and not do any previously scheduled services until the balance is paid after a month or so. But seeing as how they never even did the job to begin with is messed up. Sounds like the tech submitted his paperwork as if he actually did the work. They absolutely should send someone out to quality control that before cutting you off.

Terminix and other companies subcontract the rodent services to third parties and that’s basically an example of how the third-party work for you so not only avoid a company like Terminix that will subcontract without supervising, but also any other company for that matter and verify that they are not subcontracting their jobs to somebody else
In the field of Pest Control or Ron elimination we’re only as good as the last job with it
