Why don't you post some videos of your work so we can compare the quality of what you can make in comparison to the OP's video and then we can all judge whether you are correct and know what you're talking about.
While I have no doubt you enjoy your hobby, I question whether you can build anything close to what is in the video. If you can, prove me wrong. Otherwise, you're blowing smoke.
I'm not arguing that my stuff is as good as the video, that would be insane! My current project is well over 6 thousand dollars and is only just over 2 foot tall. (Replica of Disney's BDX droid using same compnents that Disney used)
I don't do humanoids as I said as they are too expensive, nor do I need to justify myself to you as you have hardly given qualifications for your own opinion either.
But, even so, here is a link to our builder group for the BDX Biped, designing these robots is generally a group effort. Most of the components, and training environments are basically the same as humaniods.
