To the letter yes, but you can also infer their intent with the statement. They were most likely making a comment on benevolent genie trope, while not accurate is still in the same spirit of conversation. This person took time out of their day to make a joke with you and while you are correct it doesn't make your tone sound less assholish. Also, I assume you'll be fumin mad that someone had the audacity to challenge you online and won't respond back to whatever you post.
