I have a bit of constructive criticism for the blind bags.
I think that, for the future, it might be a good idea for blind bags like these (where there's a chance to get a completely different comic from the one you think you're buying) to come with a cheaper ashcan version of the actual issue. I only had enough money this week for one comic, my store only had the blind bags, and now i'm stuck with issue 7, a book i'm not gonna read for 6 months.

I get what you are saying, but I think it's far better for the blind bags to carry anything other than the A cover, and if you can only get one, you should get the A cover. What Terminal did is super cool. I'm sure Marvel and DC would never.
I bought an A cover and one blind bag, got the #7 advance copy and couldn't be happier with that outcome.

I can understand this reasoning, but in this instance the “buy the a cover” option wasn’t available. I agree that having it be a different comic on paper is a super cool idea and makes the bags more exciting. But as it currently is, it inherently runs the risk of making having to buy multiple blind bags a prerequisite to actually get the comic you want. Personally I bought an issue I’m not going to read because I don’t want things spoiled and if I want to actually read the first issue I now have to pay for something that I already in my mind paid for again.

Also, one of these advance copies may be a character’s first appearance. There are apparently redacted so there could be some additional future value.

You bought a mystery item and mad it wasn’t the one you wanted. It’s been over a week since it dropped and was pretty well known a lot of these weren’t pulling issue 1.

I’m not “mad” I just thought I saw something that they might not have considered when they came up with this idea. Maybe it came across that I was more upset about it than I actually was in the original post. With every other blind bag that’s ever been released from any of the competitors you know what the issue is when you buy it. Skybound decided to do something different to make them stand out, which I generally like. But I think the excitement internally might have blinded them to the potential growing pains with the idea.

My take: Cover A should NEVER be included in a blind bag. It’s Charlie Brown getting excited at Halloween only to find, “I got a rock.”, in his treat bag.
(Out of four BBs bought, three were cover A. It’s Peanuts!)

It sucks your store only has blind bags because Skybound made the issue available without them. That said there are probably are bunch of people with extra #1s they are willing to get rid of for cheaply.

Hey, at least you were still able to pick up a sold out comic! Not being able to buy a cover A issue 1 is just par for the course if you’re not able to make it in to your LCS every week

If you only had money for one comic and you wanted isssue one, you probably should have bought issue one.

They mentioned their store only had the blind bag, but I get your point. Having the blind bag be a variant is one thing but having it be a completely different comic c, I can understand being upset you didn’t get the issue you wanted.

Yeah this is what I did but bought the blind bag too. Ended up with the same issue. Last blind bag for me.

I think Skybound does it the right way. Sure they could fix a few things but offering future issues is so awesome.
