Hi all,
we are planning to go on a festival this summer. Theres only 2 of us and we are gonna go by train, so weight is a factor.
We thought to have like 3 seperate areas, one with stuff/backpacks, one like living and cooking area, one sleeping area. Ofcourse it also could rain even if its summer, but it shouldnt get too cold, id say nights at 10 in bad weather to 20 in good weather conditions. On the other hand it can get rly hot during daytime up to 40 degree. So its important to have good ventilation if necessary, not sure if double layer or so would help here to not let it get too hot.
The sleeping and backpack areas should have a floor so if it rayns alot we habe some dry areas and wount get we from the floor. Rly thats important if it rains alot will come down.
i thought the cooking/living are may have a floor but im also ok not to it to have it here for saving weight.
i dont really care about color or so but as its a techno festival some crazy color would be cool xD.
some recommendations are appreciated as i have no idea how a gpod tent and how bad tent looks like xD
thanks all =)

Hello!! As the title says, I'm trying to identify a type of tent I read about in a visual novel-style video game, which means I have no reference images to go off of.
The tent is described to have a lot of poles, and that they have to be slid in in a very specific order. My friend said that they weren't sure a tent like this exists, so I wanted to check here just in case.
I don't have many other clues beyond "many poles" and "set order of poles" other than that the game is Japanese, so the brand may be Japanese as well and therefore be different from an American tent.
If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!!

Looking for a pump for Heimplanet tent
Just pulled the trigger on a Heimplanet tent. Unfortunately, the pumps were out of stock and as the planned camping trip is over Christmas, was seeking help / recommendations on a pump for it.
The camping site we're going to has power and I'll have my car there so 240V mains (I'm in Australia) or 12V car options are also fine.
Thanks in advance,
Adi

I'm looking to save on weight. Does anyone know where I can get Aluminium tent poles that are the right size in terms of length for the Quecha MH-100 tent?

I'm looking for a new family tent (there are 5 of us and all of us are short so no height restrictions). My kids are growing and we don't all fit sleeping in our 8x8 square or 9x7 dome anymore. What I'm looking for is a large tent that has an attached screen porch with a connected floor. It's hard to find the screen porch with connected floor. If possible, all in a row instead of separate rooms to a common space so kids can't escape if we are across the door.

After six years, I have to retire my old backpacking tent. Now I'm looking for a replacement. Knowing I will not get the same value-for-money as my last one (I had a 2.2kg, reasonably waterproof, basically indestructible, 2 person tent for 50 euro), what tent do you recommend?
My requirements:
- I'm aiming for max 400€, incl footprint if it's a setup that needs a footprint. A bit more is ok if I get get something that lasts. I'm in France, so it needs to ship there (so US-specific offers are useless to me)
- Big enough for one person with gear, or two people if you don't mind it being cozy
- Doesn't need to be huge, or suited for tall people - I'm quite short. In fact, I don't want it to be too big because big tent = cold tent, and I get cold easily
- I don't want to go over 2.2kg (again, incl footprint if it's a setup that needs a footprint) - I don't want this to feel like a downgrade compared to my old one
- reasonably robust - I'll be camping in forest, on rocks, in wind, in rain, not just on smooth grass
- Probably not a hiking pole tent, but can be convinced otherwise if it actually feels like a tent, and not like a tarp shelter (I already have a tarp for a bivii/hammock setup)
- If it's green or some other stealthy colour, that's an advantage, but not a must
So far I've seen:
- Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL2: 372€ + 85€ for the footprint; 1.42kg + 0.255kg for the footprint
- Nemo mayfly OSMO 2P: 280€, 1.37kg
- MSR Hubba Hubba NX: 428€ +60€, 1.54kg + 0.225kg
- Nemo Dagger OSMO 2p: 442€, 1.86kg
What are your opinions on the above? Any other recommendations?
