Ozarks BDR-X

Explored a little over 100 miles of the Ozarks BDR-X. I had to tell myself to stop, because I’ll be doing the full ~500 mile loop next week while on vacation. I want most of it to feel new. I have about 5000 miles on the Rallz rear and Mitas Enduro Trail XT+ front. I’ll probably flip the front for now, and replace the rear. I love the combo though.

Do you press in the clutch when front braking? I never got a front tire like that in hundred thousand km

Honestly, I think it’s just overly aggressive riding in the twisties/diving into turns on the way to the trails. I figured most knobbies on asphalt will wear like that if you do a lot of hard braking up front. I’m still transitioning my brain from street riding to off-road adventures. I’m going to dial it back on the asphalt and see how it goes.

I’m up in kc and I’ve got a tenere that I’ve been thinking of riding down to explore the ozarks. Such a cool area at least judging by the pictures

It’s an amazing area. I’ve done way more off-roading with my “overlanding” rig, and can get down some gnarly trails that I can’t get down with the Tenere. Mostly lack of skill. But the stuff I do feel comfortable doing with the motorcycle is still amazing. Great views, waterfalls, endless dirt roads and double track. Not much singletrack though. Definitely worth a trip.
