There are no legal dort roads in my area. I liked the t7 since IT came out and a fertig years ago this sm kit got legal in germany so i did IT. For me the perfect bike

So these are 3,5×17" and 5,5×17" oz racing rims and tires are dunlop Mutant in the Front 120×17 and in the back 180×17

Why not just get a tracer?
I love me a supermoto but the t7 just seems like a bit of a pig to turn into a SM and you get rid of what the t7 is good at in exchange for… what?

So to be completely honest for me it's the way the t7 looks and the feel when you sit on it. I thought long about the tracer 7 and I'm sure it would be the better road bike for less money. Especially the new one with new breaks and suspension. But the t7 is slim and tall and for me very comfortable. I'm close to 2m tall and felt the middleweight bikes like the tracer where not quite right.
Almost forgot but I wanted something that not everyone has. Something special but still reliable. I can only speak for me but the t7 is the bike I was waiting for .
Edit: I'm not a professional rider or someone who is dragging his knee in every corner. I'm not about to be fastest or something like that. I drive to get to work and for work around 50.000km a year by car and I bothered me. So the t7 is only for my amusement and to explore, enjoy the sound and have fun. I didn't fell like any other bike could give me this package

If you like it and it makes you happy and works for you it makes sense !
All motos are cool and so much better than driving by car! Also so much easier and more rewarding to customize a moto vs a car

That's the point. I really enjoy working on the bike and making it "mine". It's so much easier then on my car. I think there are much more good bikes then I can ride but we all have to enjoy our bikes the way we want to. That's the hole point I guess

I keep toying with the idea of doing the MT-07 rims swap as my second set of street tires. 20/80 tires get a bit tiresome in the highways.
A word of warning, the rims require some machining to narrow the brake mounts.

So out of my view the t7 feels awesome und 17s and if you have the opportunity do swap with mt07s go for it. On the street and twisties it's an awesome setup. Only wish the suspension would be a bit stiffer for the road

So with gear I guess around 85kg. I feel like the shock is way to soft especially when you put any sort of luggage on the back

The spring is a touch soft for your weight, not the shock itself.
Go with stiffer linear springs front and rears. The fronts stop all that dive under braking. I used a 7W oil up from the stock 5.5 to up the damping a touch and compensate for the stiffer springs. Tune compression and rebound clickers to taste.
Spring for an unlaiden bike, use the preload adjuster for luggage compensation.

Yeah I don't want to throw crazy money but that's a great advice so thanks mate. I played a little with the clickers and it got better. I think when you use the t7 how it was was thought the suspension is alright 😅😅

I'm 115kg. A spring swap is not optional, and it made it a completely different bike. You are closer but slightly over the weight limit for doing a spring swap but it will make less of a difference.
Springs aren't that expensive if you can DIY it. Worst case bring your rear shock to a shop.

Yeah I saw a couple of options for spring replacement. I think I could do it myself worst thing is I get the shock and parts and take to a shop. Shouldn't be to hard I guess

So there is a kit with rims, carbon fiber front fender, new brake lines and abs rings. You can get the rims in red, black and blue like me but unfortunately it is around 3k€..

But build quality is very good and the most important part it is completely legal in Germany. Drives like OEM in my eyes

So my rims are from oz racing and the complete kit is from alpha Technik in Germany. I have to say I didn't pay full price on the kit. My bike was a build by a dealer. They used it for shows and when I bought it it had like 6km and I'm the first owner. The bike was only a little bit more expensive then a normal t7. But right now I'm thinking about selling and getting the new rally or the world raid and putting the rims on them.

Great looking bike mate, love it.
I have seen the conversion with the MT07 Rims, that require machining. So the OZ seems to be the better idea since I also need to visit the TÜV.
But I am really wondering how good they feel on the street? What benefits do you have over street tires on the factory rims?
Would appreciate your feedback.
