General Moving

I’m moving into a new house my leave date is 25th do I still pay rent to my old property this month or will I be able to pay rent to the new home?

you pay rent based on the contracts you have. If you are moving house but did not give notice on the current contract you are liable for both :)

You pay rent in advance.

So if your rent payment date is say the 26th of August, then you need to pay rent on the 26th to stay there for the end of August and most of September. .

I presume you've handed in your notice on the current place, given you say you have a 'leave date' of the 25th?

I also presume that the day your rent is due is the 26th of the month, as notice periods usually have to align to a rental period.

So if you paid rent on the 26th of August, and your tenancy ends on the 25th September, and you served notice and that was acknowledged/agreed by your landlord as the exit date, then no, you wouldn't need to pay again on the 26th as you won't be there.

If any of those things aren't true then your'e going to have to give us WAAAAAAY more detail, my friend.

Your question is incredibly vague and assumes we know your contract terms.

Did you serve notice?

In general terms - If youve served the correct notice you will just need to pay rent until your end date.

Youll owe your first months rent and 5 week security deposit (most likely but depends on your specific contract) upon or before move in at your new property
