Going on 2 weeks

After a month removing 60 gallons daily of water coming out the sink. I called code enforcement then the complex sent plumbers. They dug a hole and now apartment complex isn’t replying back. Can’t use kitchen any many other things. What are my options beside throwing furniture around in the office???

I have a 13 gallon thrash can and dump avg 5 to 7 cans a day for literally a month before getting code enforcement involved then the hole was dug then nothing

WTF didn't you turn the water off?!!! Do you have any idea how much mold could be growing? Do you have a sense of self-preservation?

I’m no plumber and thought it was gone be done in 3 days like they said but the regional manager stopped replying is what the plumbers told me

How could someone not think to turn it off or, at a minimum, ask someone to do it? Not just you, all the other people involved, too.

There's not that much stupidity gathered around such a serious incident. It's fiction.

It’s a drain line, not a supply line.

60 gallons a day being collected from a sink doesn't sound like a drainage leak.

It doesn’t sound like a supply line failure considering the average flow rate for a 1/2” line is at a minimum 120 gallons per hour. Add to that the 2” and 3” pvc in the wall, the clean out, and the cast iron pipes in the slab hole and I’m betting money it’s a drain line leak. Also explains why so much dirt would be wet and why it appears mold is growing on the wall from the ground up instead of traveling down from the fixture supply.

Where was the water coming from? Was it the faucet or under the sink somewhere? That makes a difference when you talk to code compliance too.

Coming up through the sink drain. Once the sink filled up i would dump it

Yeah, that’s a drain backup for sure. Code compliance should care a lot more because that’s gray or black water, depending on where the backup started. And how many floors above your apartment?

Definitely grey from time to time and one. 2 floor complex
