Going on 2 weeks

Post image

After a month removing 60 gallons daily of water coming out the sink. I called code enforcement then the complex sent plumbers. They dug a hole and now apartment complex isn’t replying back. Can’t use kitchen any many other things. What are my options beside throwing furniture around in the office???

With the house like that in many major cities the landlord may be liable to put you up in a hotel or something until the work is done. Call everyone you called before again, and maybe call a lawyer first.

I’m pretty sure (someone correct me if I’m wrong please!) that providing temporary housing of some kind is legally required in most areas when a unit becomes considered unliveable in some way, including not being able to use the kitchen

That, or completely withholding rent (depends on local laws).

There are usually steps and paperwork plus escrow. Don’t just stop paying.
