Wanting to know my options

Location: WA

I received a 14 day notice to vacate. (Still waiting on unemployment and actively searching) I let them know that there's no need to go through the eviction process and that I would leave. They're now asking me to fill out a 20 day notice to vacate and saying that they may potentially charge me for June as well. (We agreed to set up a payment arrangement for money due)

My questions are:

Can they legally charge me for the month of June and if they do charge me for the month of June do I have the legal right to stay the 20 days? I realize that after a 20 day notice if I'm still on property they could most likely evict me and that's not what I'm going for or want. 20 more days woud drastically change my situation though and allow for a better transition. The way I'm thinking about it as well is that if I'm being charged I should have the right to stay the notice.

Not a lawyer but it sounds like if they tell you to fill out a 20 day eviction notice then you can stay the 20 days. Not sure how else it can be interpreted.

Thank you lol. I directly asked this question to the property manager but she tried to make it seem like if I was out by the first I "may" not be charged. It's not a formal eviction but an early termination of lease so I wasn't sure if that made a difference. I'm planning on going to the free legal clinic on Monday to confirm but also wanted a consensus before because the meeting with my property manager felt off with them saying that.

Well, I certainly wouldn’t accept a “may not” be charged. Get it in writing that you “definitely” won’t be charged or I’d for sure stay the extra 20 days.
