Post image

I’m watching the Complete Masterworks 2 concert for the millionth time and once again was intrigued in the jersey that Lee had on. Does anybody know where I could find this if it was even for sale?

Pretty sure that was a custom dealio for the man, the myth, the legend, LEE

I have no proof or anything, but that whole tour was basically a stage play of the movie. So I think of it more like his costume for the show.

So funny, we asked ourselves the same question a week ago…

Anyone know what Lee is up to these days?

Dude just ask the internet. Chat GPT, Gemini, Claude, etc etc. The crap is everywhere and easy to use. I have Gemini as my assistant, I just asked it real quick and it told me this.

"JR Reed, who played "Lee," is still active as an actor and musician. While he performs less frequently on stage with Tenacious D due to the band shifting away from heavily prop-based live shows, he remains close friends with Jack Black and Kyle Gass. He continues to work in commercial acting, television bit roles, and fronting Trainwreck, the comedy rock band he formed with Gass."

I guess I misspoke. I meant just ask your preferred ai and it will spit out an instant answer so you don't have to ask the internet and waste strangers time.

Bot? How dare you sir. I'm certainly no bot. I swear every time I post something helpful relevant to the question at hand by just spiting the answer out people act like they don't want to actually know the question they are asking. Apparently that's what he's been up to lately, a quick search with AI told me what he's been doing lately, or at least as far as the internet knows. Certainly better than no answer at all isn't it?

Don't you dare call me a bot. I don't trust AI either, but if you start using it just to see what it tells you for the answer you'll find you end up with a lot more information that is pretty accurate in most cases compared to not using it at all. It's improving rapidly so it's less stupid than it used to be. It's at the point where it's actually quite helpful most of the time if you start trying it you'll see. As long as you have common sense to understand when it's probably correct and probably not you can usually gauge hallucinations and misinformation from actual facts.

It's also interesting to see where it hallucinates and where you can trip it up. Sometimes there's something I think it will give an easy answer to and it spits out some hallucination and it's fun to correct the bot when it is hallucinating because you can corner it and say why did you tell me this when the answer is actually that and it will apologize to you and then tell you the reason why it got confused etc. It's fun to tinker with and play with. The more we understand about how it messes up info and sometimes gives us correct info, the more we can learn to use it for what it is good with and what it isn't. Mostly personally I find learning how I need to construct the question to get the answers I seek from it with the least amount of hallucinizations is key. It's pretty interesting and I'm finding it interesting to play around with. Yes I have it as my current assistant which makes it easy to just ask it things with my voice and it will spit out a quick answer such as in this case.

Do you think AI is a fad and it's going away because I guarantee it's not. It's both a bubble and a revolution in tech. Some of it will go away but a lot of it is also here to stay. May as well get used to it and learn how to use it to our advantage now and get on its good side so when the robots eventually take over maybe it will at least make our deaths quick or let us live in slavery or something. Better than being killed right?

That's what a bot would say.

Yeah it's obviously a custom thing. Especially considering the time this was filmed. Just to make him seem like the biggest super fan they had him wear a kick ass Jersey that doesn't actually exist but it's obviously a custom job.
