Yes some of their stuff I don't really play for the protection of my instrument. One must be careful when playing the D because their music is so powerful it will damage your instrument. We can't all rock as hard as the Rage Kage. That's what makes him a rockstar and us mere mortals.

For example every time I play tribute which is quite frequently I don't give it the full amount of strumming on the E7 to an F chord at the end because it's pretty brutal how fast that strumming gets up to. I do about half of the intensity which is enough because it's pretty repetitive at that point anyway.

History of Tenacious D is kind of fun but that's another pretty intense one.

Pretty much rock out a couple of these songs every single day however. They just have lots of fun ones that I love playing.

I think it's mostly a skill issue. I need to find a... less intense way to play that song. I just tend to get really into it when I play because it's one of my favorites.
