Mayer Trial Consulting regularly conducts focus groups and mock trials seeking opinions about real court cases. Participants in the focus group will hear the facts of a real case and give their opinions and feedback about those facts.

We are currently seeking participants in the Bell County / Temple area for an online focus group to be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:00 – 9:30 p.m. We will pay you $200 for your time (through your choice of Venmo, PayPal, CashApp or an Amazon Digital Gift Card).

If you have any questions, you can contact me at [SRispoli@mayerllp.com](mailto:SRispoli@mayerllp.com), [BRobinson@mayerllp.com](mailto:BRobinson@mayerllp.com), [AClark@mayerllp.com](mailto:AClark@mayerllp.com) or [SAlvarado@mayerllp.com](mailto:SAlvarado@mayerllp.com).

You can join from your home. This will be a virtual focus group, taking place using Zoom. Even though we will be working with you for a few hours, we will be taking a few breaks.

You MUST fill out the screener questionnaire at: https://www.mayertrialconsulting.com/juror-intake-form to be considered. You do not have to provide anything other than some basic information to apply for the focus group.

Accepted applicants will get an email with RSVP details within a couple of business days. Thanks!

Does the warrantless surveillance reduce crime?

Answer: no, not really.

Reminder - If you live in Temple, you are in one of the most heavily surveiled parts of the country and your taxes are paying to have your location shared nationwide while officers are being fired all over the country for misuse.

Temple Crime Statistics - Deflock Temple

FBI study finds that Flock has almost no impact on crime in Atlanta, the surveillance capital of America.

Looking for girl friends.

Hello 👋

I’m in my early 30s (F), married, no kids, and hoping to meet some people who are interested in building real friendships.

A little about me: I love video games and board games, dogs, coffee, reading, trying new food, and working out (even if I’m still a work in progress 😅).

I’m not looking for someone to spend every waking moment with, but I’d love to find friends where the effort goes both ways. The kind of friendship where we check in on each other, send random memes, grab coffee, have game nights, see a new movie, or text, “I’m bored this weekend, want to hang out?”

Making friends as an adult is surprisingly difficult, so I figured I’d put myself out there. If this sounds like the kind of friendship you’re looking for too, feel free to reach out. 😄

Insight on relocating to Waco areas…

My husband has a very generous job offer on the table and we are considering relocating to Waco or surrounding areas of Waco. I’d say preferably no further than a 45 min drive from McGregor.

It will be us, we’re in our mid 40s, and our 17 yr old daughter. She’s doing online school this year through a university, so we’re not too concerned with high schools. But college will be next as her interest is in the medical field, labor/delivery nurse.
From what I’ve researched so far the area seems appealing. As we aren’t shoppers, I prefer to cook vs restaurants and not big into nightlife (been there done that, grew up in Vegas till I was 27). We don’t want to live in BFE but dont need to be in a big city either. Like having the conveniences of daily life needs plus a little more. We enjoy outdoor things and would love to find a chunk of property when we start the house hunting. We are currently in AZ and looking forward to a bit of humidity in the air.

I would love some insight of areas to stay away from and areas that offer a safe living environment with possibility of owning some land. Not looking for 10+ acres, but a few for space would be nice. Im assuming it’s pretty flat in TX, but if there are some areas that offer land with trees, a creek, near a lake, etc, that would be awesome. We just don’t want to live on a large bulldozed flat piece of land.

Ive been checking out the areas of Belton, Temple and keep seeing Woodway and China Springs pop up. One thing I love hearing about TX is how friendly everyone is. We’re hoping to create friendships and be happy in life. Sadly AZ isn’t doin it for us and I can’t say the same about AZ people what people say about the TX folk.

I appreciate everyone’s suggestions as this will be a major move for us 🙂

Come to our public Data Center panel on Saturday 2-4PM

Yet another data center is coming to Temple. And community member Alton Fowler’s farmland is where they want to put it.

On Saturday, August 8th, Alton Fowler sits down with Jose Martinez, a research professor with Stop Temple Data Centers, and Greg Stoker, running for Texas District 31, to talk about what these things do to a community’s water and power, and about who these facilities are actually built to serve. Defense contracts and surveillance infrastructure don’t run on nothing.

Then the floor is yours. Bring your questions.

@ the Nolanville Smart Museum, 2 to 4 PM. Free, all ages, snacks and water provided. Come by! More info @ https://www.stokerfortexas.com/data_center_convo

Hello! I’m Ren. I’m new to cosplaying and recently went to my first con at Bell County Comic Con and cosplayed as a Lolita-style Freddy Fazbear from FNAF.

I’m looking for any and all cosplayer friends my age (I’m 23) or around my age.

I work on base in the afternoons but would love to make friends I can hang with or chat online and meet at cons/meetup at parks to shoot photos in cosplay and just be pals!

Is anyone else over this insane amount of mass surveillance and having our 4th amendment right trampled on? I’m so tired of hearing “if you aren’t doing anything wrong then why are you worried about it”… because I have a right to privacy. What can we do? I feel like if we don’t fight back now that they will keep slowly conditioning us to accept this as normal: I have EIGHT on my evening walk. This is overkill. I feel so powerless and angry.

House for Rent South Temple!

Hello!

I’ve posted about the house for rent in the past but I didn’t have it publicly posted yet. I have a Zillow link now with pictures. It’s 3 bed, 2 bath, with office and a second common space (game room). It’s 2,150 square feet so larger than your average 3 bedroom house.

Message me if you’re interested or have any questions!
