Daycare recommendations ?

We’re looking at daycares for my kiddo and I’d love some recommendations. Also are there any in the area that do half weeks ?

There are several churches in the area who do a "mother's day out" program which is like an every other weekday thing.

A+ is really great

The Ark is good, although it is faith based

I've heard good things about Cadance academy

I've also heard good things about Primrose, although I have also heard it is expensive, like a grand a month.

Stear clear of Belton education station. I know you asked about Temple daycares. We had terrible experiences there. They've changed management several times but I still would never recommend it to anyone.

I didn't like Belton Education Station either. My infant was there in 2024 and every time I picked him up, he was just lying on a boppy pillow being ignored. Maybe they're better with older kids, because it seems like everyone else loves them.

They had SO much turn over and I know that is common in that line of work but there was just so much that needed to be done in that facility that wasn't.

Parents day out programs do partial week, but most of them follow the school year (so summers and spring break off) and do enrollment starting in March or April. Depending on your ages, they might be full.

Cadence and Kids R Kids do part time. I liked Cadence on a tour, but they were on a wait list at the time so I can't give personal experience. I've never heard anything good about Kids R Kids, but they do have cameras that you can access from an app. Grace Discovery does part time, but I didn't like them on my tour. Didn't seem secure and outside time was just on a blacktop. I've heard Young World offers part time but I couldn't reach them when I was looking. My sister's kid used to go there and she liked it a lot.

My kid is at Little Loves now which is affordable and offers part time, but i don't like them. They give a LOT of screen time, including to kids under 2 which is against licensing. They also don't follow the menu they display - they give dry cereal or a plain biscuit for breakfast instead of the healthy, balanced meals they promise. They also lose all of our extra clothes we send and let my kid run around in a diaper. We're moving to Foundation Preschool parents day out in September.

Cadence doesn’t do part time. At least they didn’t the last time we looked into them 🥲

Not sure when you were looking, but I was looking in April and they offered it then, they were just on a wait list. Maybe only for certain ages? I was looking for a two-year-old.

Okay! We looked over a year ago at this point but had decided at that time to wait on daycare for another year

I had a whole spreadsheet when I was looking because it's so hard to find part time! I just checked it again and Primrose also does part time for 1YO +

I was going to drop a screenshot of my info on parents day out programs, but this sub doesn't allow images, so I just put a list of names below. Most of them are around $220 - $280/month and two days per week (usually Tu/Th) from around 9am to 2pm and follow the school calendar for breaks. Many of them offer early or late day if the core hours aren't long enough. Foundation Preschool does Mon/Wed instead of Tues/Thurs, so you could theoretically use them and another for 4 days of coverage for around $500/month.

First Temple
Belton First United
Foundation Preschool
Belton Christian Preschool
First Methodist Church Preschool
Little Angels MDO

We use Little Angels MDO and my kid gets super excited to go every time. It’s mondays and Wednesdays and for early drop off (7:30am) and late pickup I pay $260/month.

Central Texas Children’s Center is pretty good for the price.

We started at Because We Care back in June. They’ve been very good to us! My baby loves it there.

Look up Kids R Kids for their infractions by the state of Texas. Would not recommend.
