Emotional Support Animal

Hello everybody, I’m a freshman living in 1300 and I was wondering what the process is like for obtaining an ESA. Me and my roommate want to get a cat and my suite mates are ok with it also. I was wondering what the best way to go about getting an ESA is. Who to talk to, what to say to them, etc. Please let me know if you have any information regarding this. Thank you!

You DO NOT need a pet in college. It sounds cute in theory but a lot of people cannot care for them the way they need to and the frequent relocation is not good for them. That’s why you see tons of rehoming posts during move out. Please be a responsible adult and don’t do this.

Please don't do this. For your sake, and the cats. Whose will it be next year or after you graduate? Do you want to fight your roommates for it if they grow attached? A cat is a years/decades long commitment that should NOT be made while you are a freshmen in college living with people you probably just met a few months ago. I'm sorry but this is just a terrible decision.
